My passion, my hobby, my dream come true! Not only do I get to use the talent God gave me but I also get paid for it! Thats been a huge help for our family! The money I make each week selling baked goods to Cafe Kubal pays for my son’s tuition at Living Word Academy!

The weekly delivery list is growing longer with each passing Month it seems. First was the Cinnamon bread, then the Biscotti, then muffins and just now Brownies were added! Every Tuesday I fire up the oven and bake till the sun goes down! If you happen to pass the house there may be a free sample waiting for you! Perhaps the aroma drifting from my kitchen will entice you to stop in for a bite!? I always have plenty to share!

Dirty nap

I laugh at this phrase….”dirty nap” said by my friend Priscilla! Let me give you the definition…its when you are sweaty and dirty from doing some sort of physical activity such as running or playing soccer and you are tired and instead of taking time to get cleaned up or take a shower you just climb into bed all dirty! These are some of the most restful occasions! I had me a dirty nap yesterday morning!

Water in the air

As I wake from my slumber…peeking out my window I see a hazy fog. Street lights glow. Water hangs in the air. jumping into my clothes and lacing up my sneakers I am rubbing the sleep from my eyes. Stepping out into the street my breathing is heavy. The air is thick with moisture. I am the only one out side. Not a car in sight, just the sound of happy chirping birds. Trotting a long Grant blvd the water is collecting in my hair and settling on my eye brows. 2 miles in my clothes are damp. 3 miles in I am peeling off layers. By mile 4 I am wiping water from my face and sweat is dripping down my shins. 5 1/2 and I am home attempting to stretch. The water was hanging in the air!

Cafe Kubal

I am super Blessed to be a part of Cafe Kubal! I just love their fresh roast coffee, friendly staff and relaxed atmosphere!

I just recently was given the opportunity to bake muffins for them as well!

So if anyone is hungry and looking for a tasty breakfast or a quick snack…drive on over to the Kubal for a delicious home-made muffin, biscotti or cinnamon bread mini loaf! Delivered fresh every Wednesday!

This week’s muffins will be Carrot Banana with whole wheat flour and Raspberry lemon! Yummy yummy!

They are now serving ice cream….so that means delicious Espresso milk shakes!!! Oh boy…I can hardly contain myself!!

My newest adventure is baking all sorts of tasty treats for Cafe Kubal! They are now on board with the Cinnamon Bread! Delivered fresh weekly!

Just today they have decided to purchase Almond Biscotti as well! Yummy, dipped half in chocolate! On Friday I will be delivering a fresh batch as well as Jumbo low-fat Banana Carrot muffins! Fun fun fun!

It’s true what the Rocine’s’ say, “Food is love” and I am definitely in LOVE!!!

So, here I am again! Ready to write it up to the world!

Today I created my training schedule for the Mountain Goat road race. I am 14 weeks out and am excited as ever!

Anyone interested in running it let me know! Maybe we can train together! The race is here in Syrause and is the 1st Sunday in May! Wish me success and continued motivation!

So, I’ve got myself on this new super crazy schedule that has me up and 5:20am and at Planet Fitness by 5:35am! My only chance for a work out is this early because with my husbands new job in Rome he has to leave the house at 6:45am! Its like a race to get dressed, get out the door, head to the gym, race through my work out, race home! An hour just flys by like it never happened! Now I find myself home, eating breakfast chewing on God’s word for about a half hour before my whirl wind of a day really even starts at 7:30am when the kiddos get up! Wow, thank You Lord for adding the increase! For getting me motivated! For kicking my butt out of bed even when I am tired! I never regret it!!! I just look forward to my 10:00pm bed time so that I can go to bed and rise early and do it all over again!

Only for a Season!

Thank God He is able! Thank you Jesus You give us strength. What would I be with out Him? Even on my worst day I am not as bad as my best day as a lost sinner. Hallelujah! This life is the worst its ever going to get for us! We have an eternity in Heaven with our Jesus to look forward to! Let me never become so weak or blind to miss the blessing.

I have a confession to make….I am weak with out Him. I try to do things on my own and fail. I may appear to have it all together but yesterday I fell apart. I didn’t make it to Church last night because I was on my face praying and couldn’t get myself together enough to get into the car. I had a bad day. Thank God He hears our prayers! Thank God all we have to do is ask for His help and He meets us! I am Free! Free to worship, free to dance and sing and raise my arms and I do it for Jesus!

I am reminded that things only seem tough for a season and this season has come to an end!! Hallelujah!

almost puked

Ever run so hard that you almost puke??! Yeah, baby thats what I’m talking about!! I love to sweat and breath hard and feel my muscles ache and pump my arms faster and faster until there is nothing left! Then when the sweat is dripping into my eyes and down my elbows I can smile with relief! There is nothing like the feel of a runners high!!!
